Banja Luka is one of the the largest cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is the 2nd largest city.
In the past it has been the center of Bosanska Krajina Region, which is located in the north western
part of the country. It is home of a notable university which holds the city name, Banja Luka University,
also it is home of a number of state and other sort institutions on BiH. The city is on Vrbas River
and it is very famous in the countries of Former Yugoslavia for being a green city full of attractions,
gardens, parks and more.
During the '90s the city experienced changes due to the Bosnian War. Banja Luka became the de facto
centre of the politics during the time of Bosnian-Herzegovinian independence declaration and the
establishment of the Republika Srpska.
